Eight-hundred people gathered for the occasion to celebrate tourism excellence and the outstanding achievements of 2007. The Minister for Tourism Matt Brown congratulated the winners saying the fantastic results demonstrated the quality of tourism in the State. This year’s awards were hotly contested with 206 submissions and 129 finalists, 36 more than last year. All national category winners now progress to the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards to be presented in Canberra next February.
