two eight two eight at Gulargambone has won the QANTAS Australian Tourism awards in the General Tourism Services category. The volunteer run project was up against the big guns of the Australian Tourism Industry. Cr Tim Horan, Mayor of Coonamble Shire, says “council has supported the project from the beginning and their success is a testament to the strength of the Gulargambone community and the hard work of all the volunteers. The Heart of Country NSW campaign re-commenced on Sunday 25 February with three weeks of television advertising in regional NSW, Queensland and Victoria, promoting the Heart of Country NSW and Holiday Planner through a 2-minute infobreak commercial. This advertising is expected to reach an audience of around 3.7 million people. · Over the next two months the campaign will include television and online advertising, publicity and magazine advertorials. A group of seven domestic travel journalists, who write for publications such as Australian Traveller, the Sydney Morning Herald and Sun Herald, visited Wagga, Junee and Griffith this week to experience these destinations firsthand. In April, The Great Outdoors and New Idea will feature a segment on the Yass Poacher’s Trail with some great deals for viewers. |
