Text Box: The need for a suite of tourism symbols for use across Australia has existed for some time. Now National Tourism Symbols for road signs have just been released by the National Tourism Signing Reference Group after consumer testing. Text Box: The Great Inland Way (GIW)  runs from Sydney to Cairns and Cooktown.  Tourism Queensland (TQ) has been working with the Great Inland Way Promotions Group and Tourism NSW to rebrand the route.  Stewart Moore from Sustainable Tourism Services has been contracted by TQ.  A range of new material including brochures, folders, fact sheets & HEMA maps has been produced.  The route also received funding under the Australian Tourism Development Program (ATDP) which will fund interpretive panels and signage. The launch of the QLD Drive Tourism Program Stage 2  will be held in Brisbane on 28th March and the consumer launch at the Sydney Camping and Caravan Show on 17th April 2007. Text Box: BE INSPIRED @ Coonamble Farm Family Gathering  - Saturday 24th March from 6.30pm  (Election Day) Inspirational speakers Sam Bailey, a quadriplegic and pilot who runs his own property  and Nicole Brown, a pyschologist who has worked with drought affected people in the west for six years will address the gathering.     The Farm Family Gathering is being sponsored by the NSW Department of Primary Industries and the Central West Catchment Management Authority. Tickets are available at the RTC in Coonamble - $20 for a single adult, $5 for a preschool or primary aged child or $50 for a family.  There will be a meal provided for adults, as well as a meal and entertainment for the children.  More information is available from Pip Brown, Drought Support Worker with NSW DPI on (0429) 396 697 or email pip.brown@dpi.nsw.gov.au
Text Box: DATE CHANGE FOR JUNIOR RODEO: At the meeting of the committee held on 13th February 2007 it was decided that the Junior Rodeo, traditionally held on the first day of the event will be moved to Monday. This will mean that the a full program of Rodeo events will be held on both Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th June with the Junior Rodeo concluding the event on Monday 11th June.  There will be no changes to the Campdrafting program.
