There is tremendous potential for the development of Indigenous Tourism in Coonamble Shire. Tourism NSW has recently been involved in a number of initiatives involving Indigenous Tourism. These include a set of principles for developing Indigenous Tourism and an Aboriginal NSW Product Manual. Louise is currently working toward creating opportunities for other Aboriginal artists in the area to sell their art and cultural products. Louise has been assisted by Outback Arts with planning and seeking financial support and sponsorship for her journey to Adelaide. Louise originally learnt her art from her mother whose family was linked with the Brewarrina fishery, one of the oldest fisheries in the world. Louise uses a traditional aboriginal finger weave to produce dilly bags which is woven from string she has spun herself.
