Coonamble resident and Murawari woman Louise Marne has been selected as one of only 15 artists internationally to take part in the WOMAdelaide Tjanpi Desert weavers project.   Louise is currently working toward creating opportunities for other Aboriginal artists in the area to sell their art and cultural products.  Louise has been assisted by Outback Arts with planning and seeking financial support and sponsorship for her journey to Adelaide.   Louise originally learnt her art from her mother whose family was linked with the Brewarrina fishery, one of the oldest fisheries in the world.  Louise uses a traditional aboriginal finger weave to produce dilly bags which is woven from string she has spun herself.
