Text Box: The 13th January marked the return of passenger rail services to Coonamble (at least this once). 3801 limited as part of their trip from Sydney bought a train to town with 9 carriages and pulled by two diesel engines. Along with a lucky group that had travelled all the way from Sydney there were carriages from Gilgandra and Narromine. The train was only in town for 2 hours but bought back fond memories for many locals and was renamed the ‘Coonamble Flyer’ for the occasion.
