Text Box: Drought Support for Coonamble region
Pip Brown is the new Drought Support Worker with responsibility for this area. Her job entails supplying information on what is available and who is eligible, along with the multitude of forms. It can also be providing personal support to people who just want to talk.  The workers talk to farmers on the phone, visit people on their farms or talk to small groups of neighbours.

Text Box:  There are a number of resources available for Shire residents wanting to enter the tourism industry and many of these are available on the council web site under the tourism industry section.

The site includes Fact Sheets on advertising, brochures and farm and country tourism as well as links to other tourism sites.  Council can also provide information on current research and trends in the Central NSW region. The ‘Start Smart’ Guide for those considering entering the industry has been updated.
