The Coonamble Rodeo & Campdraft has released excellent posters and brochures this year along with a tent city accommodation package and details on how to get your copies are on the second page. We need your help to attract visitors to the rodeo so please forward the package and posters to friends and family. The region was also fortunate to gain a number of grants through Regional Arts NSW and full details are available by clicking here. Tourism NSW has released their tourism snapshot for the region which provides full details on visitors to Central NSW. Click here. We are also fortunate to have De Bortoli wines supporting a Seafood dinner arranged by local chef Ashley at the historic Anglican Hall. You will have to be quick to reserve a table. Click here. The Consultant Shar Jones has completed her report on the Text Box: Coonamble Museum and will be holding a series of meetings next week to discuss ‘Making it Happen’ Click here for meetings or here for the report. The Inland NSW Tourism Awards have just been launched and I encourage all tourism businesses to enter. Full details on third page. Also this week AusIndustry launched the Australian Tourism Development Program Round 3 and full details are available by clicking here. We are also working with Tourism NSW to have a feature in the new Heart of Country brochure and this will be a joint effort involving Gilagandra, Warrumbungles, Narromine and Coonamble Shires. The region sadly lost another country pub and tourist icon with the 1928 ‘Diggers Rest’ Hotel at Lightning Ridge destroyed by fire last week. Paul Hely will be in town on 13th May from the Upper Lachlan Tourist Association. Paul will be holding a workshop at Quambone to develop a tour route and brochure.
