On Sunday night it was reported to the committee that horses were blocking the Dubbo Road and investigations showed that some irresponsible person had opened the gate at the showground and let the horses loose. Men on horses, bikes and cars were on the scene and by midnight all but seven horses had been returned. Coonamble champion Johnny Lundholm was unfortunate in receiving a bad fall during the chasing of the horses. He received injuries to his wrist and knee. He was unable to compete. CAMPDRAFT: 1st J.
