Arthur
and Suzanne began a beautifully planned garden when they moved to Yatton
in 1980. Various Shire awards followed as the garden developed. "When
I arrived in 1992, after a lifetime of struggling with ‘bad’ bore
water I just had to see what I could grow. Thus the well ordered, well
tended landscape became a wild thing, with far more jobs to be done than
we can manage. It
now looks like an old people’s garden, but occasionally, in the right
season, it is brilliantly beautiful, and gives us great joy, as well as a
little exercise. As a by product of my urge to grow roses and arrange flowers, I can now sell some of the harvest which helps with the excess water bill – Thank God for TOWN WATER"! |
